The Hero is the Health Knight, valiantly fighting to save the residents of Skellytown from evil members of the gangs of Illness, injury, and pain that ravage the countryside. So on with the show!

Medical monsters, episode one

Prologue

Last time on {booming voice} Medical Monsters {end voice} the valiant knight was following the tracks of the interlopers who had stolen Joy from Tuesday's party in Skellyville...

Logue

"I don't know Squire Intervention, we need to find some good tracks, so we can be sure of the identities of the miscreants, before meeting them in battle." The Health Knight said, while poking through some bushes with his cane, and mounted high in the seat of the loyal steed with two lame legs, named Steed.

"Drat and Darn it, Knight. After being set upon by the swarm of Spasmites upon Needing the Interstitial Sea, I was sure it was them. I thought we'd catch up to Joy and her captors, when they wouldn't be prepared for pursuit. But those Spasmites turned the table by coming in such numbers. They could have delayed us much longer, if they were in on the deal. They bored of us so quickly, after reducing us to quivering piles of jelly, to have been covering for others of their kind." the scarred Squire said. "We need to catch up to what stirred them up, so."

"Don't despair, Squire. We have the Anti-Bioticus birds, searching ahead of us, but in the Bronchi Forest they can only find obvious opponents quickly. It will take time to penetrate deeply enough catch our quarry. Closer to ground level, no tracks are obvious. But smells linger, and I have an answer to our problem of poorly planted tracks."

"This dry June has hampered our pursuit of Joy, with the dry, hard, ground, hiding the dastardly kidnappers footsteps, in what would usually be mud - but it's not a total loss. I know just what help we need" The Health Knight proclaimed, pulled out a trumpet, and while rearing up on his steed, Steed, he blew a sequence of notes to the song, 'The Seeker' by the Troubadours Who.

'Crickey Knight, do we really need that much help here? I may just be one of the Dread Pneumonia, we don't need the Seeker's help to catch up to that. The Anti-bioticus alone are enough to defeat them, given time. Tumourus of either variety would be unlikely to stir up the Spasmites this way. The Dread Pneumonia are more likely to be the ones restraining Joy."

The Knights steed, Steed, had settled back on it's mismatched legs, and the Knight said, looking down at Intervention, "Bringing the tracker Biopsy into the hunt, has little downside, Squire. The Anti-Bioticus will keep searching from the air, and if it's a Pneumonia, they deal with it. The Biopsy can tell us if Tumorous are involved, and of which tribe."

"You know they say Biopsy is a bringer of bad luck, Knight. And he's sort of smelly. I'm still thinking the evidence points at one of the Dread Pneumonia and we should press ahead."

"But Squire, that is why you are still a Squire, and me and the trusted Steed have missing and broken body parts. You don't usually get to be a Knight, without learning in bodily damage, some hard lessons. We'd be better of to know what it is we truly face than following hope blindly into an ambush."

EPIlogue

Join us next time, when we find out...is it one of the Dread Pneumonia? Is Biopsy really smelly? Will they find out who the perpetrator really was? Will Joy be found and released? Tune in next time, and you might find out!

Medical Monsters, Episode two

Prologue

When we left them, the valiant pair of the Health Knight, upon his gallant, if damaged steed, Steed, and the Knight's Trusty Squire, Intervention, were discussing ways of tracking down the villains who had stolen Joy from SKellyville. The Health Knight had just summoned the horror, Biopsy, to determine the nature of the villains, and know whether the Anti-Bioticus were enough support for what they were facing...

Logue

Ahhh,  - that smell, Squire. I thought you'd finally fully recovered from the Brown Tide conflict - or had you saved some food from DeVilla's grill? That's the only other place I'd seen someone generate that kind of odour!"

"Criminy Criky, It's not me to blame for this, Knight. You are the one who decided to summon Biopsy. I hope he doesn't collapse the Bronchi Forest, or trigger more of those annoying Spasmites. Those Spasmites may not be anything more than an annoyance, usually, but in groups as large as the one let loose by Needling the Interstitial Sea, we were overwhelmed."

"That was not a proud moment, Squire. Whimpering in a dark corner until the Spasmites bored of us. It is a good thing their sting isn't often fatal.  And the local Biopsies do seem  to have a tendency to stink. Both the possibility to collapse the Bronchi Forest or draw more hoards of Spasmites would be...bad..should they occur. Ok, we'll give the Anti-Bioticus some more time to achieve the job. We will only bring Biopsy into the fray, if the Anti-Bioticus prove unsuccessful...and keep it far away until that eventuality"

"We can monitor their progress from Hill CT, over yonder. It will make a good overwatch of the Bronchi Forest, away from any Spasmites.  From a perch on Hill CT, scanning the whole area should work well."

"Wait, Knight. Crikey, these are Gabber vines. Our ability to move as far as a toilet will lead to very heavy breathing."

"Grabber vines they are, Squire, but that makes it more likely, not less, that the Dread Pneumonia is what we're seeking. Their waste products support the Vines growth. We're looking to have already taken the action that will free Joy. It will only take some time."

"If we are complete tied down by these vines in the meantime, before the Anti-Bioticus finish the Dread Pneumonia, freeing Joy becomes harder. Or unimportant to us."

Epilogue

Join us next time when we may find out - Will our heroes find a way to hold off the Grabber Vines, as the Anti-Bioticus do their work?  Will they discover that the real villain is neither the Dread Pneumonia, nor either tribe of Tumourus - Canceronus or Benignity, but a Giant Beetle, Nesting in the Bronchi Forest - and we can't forget Joy, was she taken for her powers? or as dinner? Tune in next time, and you might find out!

Medical Monsters, Act 3

Prologue

When we left our heroes, the found themselves in the clutches of the Horrible Grabber Vines, at the edge of the Bronchi Forrest. Would they escape the clutches of the Vicious Vines? Would they finally find Joy? Stay tuned to find out!

Logue

"Ahh, I hate these things. Squire, just knock the vines with a gauntlet, it not the plants that are the problem. They excrete the Ponderous Ooze. In the Bronchi Forrest, that Ooze will build up, smothering the whole land. If the Ooze stops the Holy Gas Exchange, we will all be doomed."

"So that is why the Dreaded Pneumonia are so feared, Sir Knight? All these things I am learning, Sir Knight, do not make facing the day easier. But I am with you. With you...What should I be with you, with?"

"We may need to Needle the Interstitial again, Squire. I know we were overcome by Spasmites last time, but this time we can better prepare the ground. If we lay down a Blanket of Muscle Relaxant, we should avoid the Spasmites."

"But this is the Western Bronchi Forest, Knight. If we put a drain here, the dusk to dawn tidal forces as the Body shifts in it's sleep will either push the drain into Forrest, or force the Body to stay shifted, on the East. That will Reflux the Stomach Lake and force it's acidic waters down the Esophagus Passage and into the Bronchi Forests!"

"Risks must be taken, Squire...But wait. That very Reflux has happened occasionally. The tidal forces would push the waters into the part of the Bronchi Forrest we think the attack came from! Maybe some damage to the Forest, on those occasions, allowed our enemy to hatch their plan to begin with!"

"Suffering Psycho's, Knight. We shouldn't risk the occurrence of such an event!"

"Squire! Someone is yelling fire! Something about 9th Level, we are on the 6th Level now, but the Ooze is hampering our movement!"

Epilogue

Will our Heroes be caught in this new threat? Is it only a false alarm? And what about Joy? Find out next time on {big voice} Medical Monsters {end big voice}

Medical Monsters, Act 4

Prologue

When we left our heroes, they were in a pickle. The thick overburden at the Bronchi Forest’s edge formed a barrier preventing movement that way, unless they wanted to hack through the growth. The other direction involved penetrating the Chest Wall Range, and the Rib Mountains. Where they were standing was knee deep in ooze, from an infestation of Grabber Vines and someone had just yelled “Fire”.

Logue

“Climbing Creepers Knight, I don’t see any smoke, which way should we run?”

“No smell of one either, Squire. My faithful steed, Steed, is showing no sign of alarm, either, and he’s usually terrified of fire. I think this is a false alarm.”

“Hey you, Hey, down there. Sorry about that, that Code Red was just a drill, we didn’t see that there were people down there. Why are you down there?”

“Thanks for letting us know. We’re here to find, and return Joy to Skellytown. She’s been taken into the Bronchi Forest. Did you see anything suspicious Tuesday night?”

“Sorry, I can’t help. Good luck getting through that Ooze.”

“Waddling Wino’s Knight, look over there.”

“Where Squire, over the Bronchi Forest? Wait, I see. It seems the Anti-Bioticus birds have found something!”

“Should we head that way then, Sir Kight?”

“No, Squire. There is no need to try and penetrate the undergrowth into the Bronchi Forrest if the Anti-Bioticus birds have found something. They have specific diets, and almost certainly have our foes.”

“But Knight, what about Joy? Won’t she be stuck in the Forest?”

“She is a resourceful girl, Squire. She’ll find her way home on her own. We don’t want to risk the collapse of the Bronchi Forest, over a battle already won.”

“But Knight, it’s not over. We’re still stuck in this ooze.”

“My trusty steed, Steed, with your help, Squire, will get us free.”

“The ooze seems to be getting muckier Knight, I’m not sure Steed will be able to push through.”

“If we need to, we can chance a Drain, and a Needling of the Interstitial. We’ll take precautions against Spasmites this time. It will be fine.”

“We’ll keep trying till tomorrow then Knight, If we need to put in a Drain, we can try it then.

Epilogue

Will Our heroes break free of the ooze? Have the Anti-Bioticus Birds found the perpetrator of Joy kidnapping, or have they found something else to feast upon. Will the heroes need resort to a Drain, and Needling of the Interstitial? Tune in next time, to {big voice} Medical Monsters {end big voice} and find out!

Medical Monsters, Act 5

Prologue

When we left our heroes, they were trudging through the ooze, released from grabber vines at the edge of the Bronchi Forest. It looked that the Anti-Bioticus birds had found a meal deeper into the Bronchi Forest. Was that meal whoever stole Joy from Skellyville? Would our heroes get clear of the Ooze at the forest edge?

Logue

“Crawling Crisis Sir Knight! This Ooze is getting thicker and harder. I’m not sure I can make it much farther.”

“My faithful steed, Steed, is struggling as well Squire. We’re going to have to Needle the Interstitial again, I’m afraid. There have been no signs of Spasmites for days, so it’s worth the risk. We’ll need a drain this time too.”

“Ah, Strident Static, Sir Knight. What is that damn bird doing?”

“Stay calm, Squire. The Anti-Bioticus birds are feasting and their calling for reinforcements. This bird has just got a bit confused. If you throw small pebbles at it, towards the forest, It should stop that beeping.”

“Your knowledge of the ways of these beasts is amazing, Sir Knight. Those pebbles have in fact got the bird going the right way.”

“We should think about what time we should do the Needling, Squire. Later tonight might work...ah, that blasted beeping bird is back. More pebbles Squire.”

“It’s back on it’s way to its flock again, Sir Knight.”

“Right, good job Squire, keep your stones handy. Tonight might be best to start...Arrgh, It’s that damn beeping bird. More pebbles!

“Got it, Sir Knight. It’s heading back.”

“So, as I was saying Squire. We can do the Needle tonight...Waa, that damn beeping bird. Squire get some bigger damn rocks!”

“I think that hurt it, Sir Knight. It’s heading out...it seems to still be heading the right way.”

“I’ll talk quickly this time Squire, and I’ll ready my Lance if that damn beeping bird gets to close. We’ll try to complete the set-up for the Needling tonight. We’ll see if we can do it tonight or tomorrow, and spread a Blanket of Muscle Relaxant in case some Spasmites appear.”

Epilogue

Will the next Needling draw a horde of Spasmites, like the last? Will that damn bird leave them alone? Will the Anti-Bioticus Birds free Joy to return to Skellyville? Tune in next time on {big voice} Medical Monsters {end big voice} to find out!

Medical Monsters, Act 6

Prologue

When we last left our heroes, it had appeared that the Anti-Bioticus Birds were completing their primary mission...Freeing Joy from the beast(s) that had stolen her from Skellyville...but there were secondary problems all around.

Logue

“Gluey Galoshes, Sir Knight, this ooze has gotten so thick, I can barely move. Maybe it’s time for that drain”

“My poor steed, Steed, has almost stopped as well. I have the hollow stem on my lance, Squire, and it’s time to plant it through the ground. Hold on to something.”

“Sir Knight, what happened? Your usual forceful push seems to have hit a snag!”

“I...but...That didn’t work as planned, Squire. It is an important lesson in planning. You need a backup plan for when the first plan takes a powder. Once I get this Lance free of t...h…e…...g...r...o...u...n...d, unngg, there. I’ll place a second hollow stem on the lance and try over … here.”

“Penetrating perfection, Sir Knight. The Ooze is turning pink, and heading to the drain. That should take the pressure off the Bronchi Forest, and make it easier to move for all of us.”

“All we need now, Squire, is a comfortable place to sit, as the Anti-Bioticus birds finish of the Dread Pneumonia, and we wait for the Ooze to drain.”

Epilogue

Have our heroes truly triumphed?  Will Joy be able to return to Skellytown? Was it all really that straightforward? Tune in next time for {big voice} Medical Monsters {end big voice} and find out!

Medical Monsters, Episode VII

Prologue

When last we saw our heroes, They had started to drain the Ooze produced by Grabber Vines, outside the Bronchi Forest. The Anti-Bioticus birds seemed to be feasting on the Dread Pneumonia, and Joy should be able to return to Skellyville soon. Was their quest complete?

Logue

“Quieting Queries, Sir Knight. Have we completed our Quest?”

“We’ve calmed the symptoms, Squire, but the Dread Pneumonia shouldn’t have been able to journey into the Bronchi Forest. There is something else out of adjustment, that let those beasts in to start.”

“The Dread Pneumonia was a symptom, Sir Knight? But those beasts have been the focus of many quests in history. What could push them into a mere symptom role?”

“It could be as simple as a gatekeeper, who fell asleep at work, Squire. Not as vicious as the Dread Pneumonia, but more damaging. If there is some control malfunctioning, we should get to the bottom of it.”

“Auditing Oddities, Sir Knight, there are thousands of controls that could be at fault. How would we narrow the search?”

“We start eliminating possibilities from the most likely down. The Gate of Esophagus Bottom has always been porous, since the Hiatal Hernia attack of ‘82. If Masticated Material lost it’s way down the Esophagus Passage, or even escaped the Stomach Lake, and wandered into the Bronchi Forest, It could have drawn the Dread Pneumonia after it.”

“Rioting Reflux, Sir Knight. Shall we talk to the gate guard, to see if they saw anything.”

“I think we should take a reconnaissance down the Esophagus Passage, watching out for any irregularities.”

“But there are still pockets of Ooze, that haven’t found their way to the Drain.”

“Indeed there are, Squire. Perhaps we should break up those pockets before we make our reconnaissance. My faithful steed, Steed, has recovered from our slog through the thickening Ooze -  we shall break up those remaining pockets, and do the reconnaissance in the morning.”

Epilogue

Will our heroes find a new Quest in the Esophagus Passage? Will the remaining Ooze pockets drain, after our heroes efforts to clear the way? Will Joy return to Skellyville? Find out next time on {big voice} Medical Monsters {end big voice}.

Medical Monsters, Episode VIII

Prologue

Last time on {big voice} Medical Monsters {end big voice} our heroes had decided to check the Esophagus Passage, investigating how the Dread Pneumonia had found it’s way into the Bronchi Forest at all. What would the intrepid pair find?

Logue

“Scintillating swallows, Sir Knight. The Esophagus Passage seems bare of clues.”

“I was hoping this would be easy, but to no avail, Squire. There are certainly signs of Reflux, when the Stomach Lake overflowed and washed the wrong way down the Esophagus Passage. The damage to the lower gate, left by the monstrous Hiatal Hernia, clearly makes travel possible, but there is no sign of recent travel. It all looks swept clean by Meals, over the week.”

“You don’t think the gatekeepers could have been lax, Sir Knight?”

“No, Squire. To call their position a gate, is an abuse of language. Even with double the garrison, it would be child’s play for a Dread Pneumonia seed to pass into the Bronchi Forest. I don’t think we'll ever know the details of how this Dread Pneumonia got into the forest.”

“But surely, Sir Knight, there is a lesson to learn, to make it less likely to repeat?”

“Nothing that is within our power in here, Squire. We have done what we can do. Let’s return to the Bronchi Forest’s Barrier Brambles, and ensure the Anti-Bioticus birds have taken care of the Dread Pneumonia, and allowed Joy to escape back to Skellyville.”

“If that’s all we can do, Sir Knight, it is all we can do.”

Epilogue

Is the quest really over? Is it just clearing up a few details? Is there still a surprise to come? Tune in next time, on {big voice} Medical Monsters {end big voice} and find out!

Medical Monsters, Episode IX

Prologue

Last time on {big voice} Medical Monsters {end big voice} It was looking like our heroes had completed their task, and only needed to monitor conditions, and clear up some Ooze, to complete their quest and reunite Joy with Skellyville. But just because It was looking like…

Logue

“Oscillating Offal, Sir Knight, there seem to be more of those pockets of Ooze forming. Will there be no end to them?”

“It is to be expected, Squire. As the Dread Pneumonia are destroyed, the Grabber Vines will die off. The dying Grabber Vines will release a thicker Ooze in their wake. All that is left is to break up the last pockets of Ooze, let them flow to the Drain, and when the last vestiges are gone, we can remove the Drain and return the Bronchi Forest to its normal state. Let’s get on with it.”

“This is truly horrible stuff, Sir Knight. You are privileged to be able to stay above the gunk.”

“One of the greatest gifts of Knighthood, Squire, is a faithful steed like Steed to ride into quests. It’s better that you don’t expose him to the hardship poor Steed has seen, but galloping into action on an un-lamed steed, just gives you less time to notice small details, like that hoard of Spasmites approaching now.”

“Shivering Shoals, Sir Knight, it’s almost as large as the hoard that overcame us before episode one. What shall we do!”

“This time we have made preparations, Squire. We have a Blanket of Muscle Relaxant to lessen any impact they could make. Behold!”

“Brilliant, Sir Knight. We can easily overcome the few Spasmites that weren’t caught in the Blanket. But why are they here? We haven’t seen them in days, and the battle between the Dread Pneumonia and the Anti-Bioticus birds should make the terrain unfavourable for their reappearance.”

“That is an excellent question, Squire, and we should return to Hill CT, scanning for other problems. There is little Ooze left, once we clear that we’ll head to the hill, and see what we can.”

Epilogue

Will the visit to Hill CT, scanning for any problems come up with an all clear? Is there another threat hidden in the Bronchi Forest? Will Joy finally return to Skellyville? Tune in next time to {big voice} Medical Monsters {end big voice} and find out!

Medical Monsters, Episode X

Prologue

When last we left our heroes, they were on their way to the top of Hill Ct, scanning for additional abnormalities. The Ooze from the Grabber Vines had mostly been drained, the Anti-Bioticus birds seemed to be finishing off the Dread Pneumonia, and things seemed to be getting back to normal. Was this the end of these {big voice} Medical Monsters {end Big Voice}, or were there surprises yet to come.

Logue

“Somnolent Storms, Sir Knight. The view from here is breathtaking. It lets us see right into the Bronchi Forest! It does look like the Dread Pneumonia is almost defeated!”

“Wait Squire Intervention. Something is wrong. The volume of Ooze is increasing! It should be down to a trickle by now. Let’s get down there and take a closer look.”

“But Sir Knight, the Drain we had is still open and flowing. How has the Ooze built up?”

“That’s what we have to find out, Squire. I have another hollow tube for my lance. Perhaps we should add another Drain? Is it just that some of the material is so thick it won’t get to the Drain we have? I’ll notify the top gate at the Esophagus Passage to shut. We need to minimise the chance of misdirected nutrition...and it is about time for the Body to feed.”

“But Sir Knight, I know that was an outside feed, brought by friends...the Body will be disappointed.”

“Needs must, Squire. We need to get this Ooze out of here.”

“The old Drain seems to have got rid of all that it can, Sir Knight.”

“Then I can reuse that tube and put two new drains in areas the Ooze is collecting, Squire. It seems that the Grabber Vines are bunching, preventing the Ooze all draining to the same area. It is almost like something is guiding their behavior. I’m less certain we are done here, Squire, there still seems to be a missing piece of the puzzle.

Epilogue

Have the heroes been chasing Symptoms this whole time? Is there a root cause still to be discovered? Did the whole storyline just get knocked for a ride? Tune in next time on {big voice} Medical Monsters {end big voice} and find out...maybe? Cus I'm pretty lost right now...

Medical Monsters Episode XII

Prologue

Have our heroes fallen into a time loop? Do they just end up where they were a few days ago, every few days? Find out now, maybe, on this episode of {Big Voice} Medical Monsters {End Big Voice}

Logue

“Dastardly Deja Vu, Sir Knight. Are we heading up to Hill CT, scanning for changes again? Is the writer’s guild on strike, and they are just repeating scripts?”

“Something odd is going on for certain, Squire Intervention. There are now two drains in place, so we have moved forward in time. But perhaps we just shifted into another timeline and have done all this before. My faithful steed, Steed, is hypersensitive to timeline transitions, since his left hind leg was lamed in one, and he shows no alarm, so it seems that we are repeating actions in truth!”

“But Sir Knight, why didn’t we do the job right the first time. We followed all procedures and protocols. By the book, we should be joining Joy in Skellyville for a celebratory party!”

“I don’t know, Squire. We seem to be repeating actions here and Joy was first taken from a celebratory party in Skellyville. It may be a good idea to forgo such festivities when finally Joy returns.”

“Erupting Extravaganzas, Sir Knight. You know Joy would never allow forgo-ance of a celebration her very return Engendered.”

“Perhaps, Squire. Maybe we should not get blind drunk this time though. We might take a care to keep tabs on Joy, should future circumstances include her return.”

“So, Sir Knight. We’re once again heading up Hill CT, scanning for updated conditions. This feeling of looping time is strong with me, even if your steed, Steed, fails to respond.”

“Complex minds can be lost in rationalizing reality at times like this Squire, I trust to my steed, Steed, more than I do to myself.”

Epilogue

Have our heroes been caught in a recursive time loop? Will something new appear with tomorrow’s dawn? Will heading up Hill CT, scanning for changing conditions show anything new, under the sun? Tune in next time on {Big Voice} Medical Monsters {End Big Voice} and find out!

Medical Monsters, Episode XIII

Prologue

When last we saw our heroes, the were slogging up Hill CT, scanning for abnormalities yet again. Would they find something this time that would make it all make sense? Would they go through the same actions yet again, hoping that this time would be different? Maybe we’ll find out in Episode XIII of  {Big Voice} Medical Monsters {End Big Voice}.

Logue

“Repetitive Resolutions, Sir Knight. Do we expect this time will be different?”

“Not really, Squire Intervention. I do have a wild theory I want to check out, however. I’m not thinking we’ll see anything different, but I’m hoping to look for things I didn’t before.”

“You have a theory that makes sense of all this madness, Sir Knight? Then let’s check it out!”

“It occurred to me, Squire, that while there have not been much of the usual Symtomites that are expected in Dread Pneumonia’s wake, we did see some of those symptoms months in the past. Many of the expected Symtomites are not unusual finds in this Body, with all it has been through.”

“I’m sorry, Sir Knight. Are you suggesting that Dread Pneumonia struck months ago and had just been lying low in the pleura space around the Bronchi Forest?”

“Yes, Squire. That explains why the Ooze has been so thick and hard to drain. It wasn’t young Grabber Vines we were dealing with, but generations of them.”

“But, Sir Knight, wouldn’t that make this whole area covered in Ooze and wouldn’t the Bronchi Forest have collapsed long ago?”

“The White Defence Cells have been running through regular drills in this area for months. If they had been removing small amounts of Ooze each visit, it may have not built up to a level that would strike someone as unusual.”

“Labourous Loculations, Knight. We may have just been walking on hills of expired Grabber Vines, glued together with Ooze. From here they look like hills, and our drains wouldn’t work well on those thickened heaps. Could this be the answer?”

“It’s time for you to earn your pay, Squire Intervention, for if this is the case, Intervention is what we’ll need. We’ll need to tear those hills apart, and sweep out the gooey mess. We'll start by spreading the Seed Of DNase on the mounds and see if that breaks them apart. If that fails, we'll call in Cyclone Surgery to suck the space clear.”

Epilogue

Has the Knight finally got to the bottom of the mystery? Will they have to summon the Cyclone Surgery for assistance, Was this whole episode just a not-fevered dream that the author imagined in hope? Medical Monsters, Episode XIV

Prologue

Last time on {Big Voice} Medical Monsters {End Big Voice} our heroes were looking at the mounds of fibrous gunk that was formed from the extended stay of a population of Grabber Vines and their Ooze. How would our heroes respond to this new...er...old development?

Logue

“Wow, Sir Knight, if those vines have been here for so long, what were they eating?”

“I think we may have hit on a weird coincidence, Squire Intervention. If some small amount of the Dread Pneumonia hid here in the Pleura, and never went into the Bronchi Forest, they could breed generation after generation of Grabber Vines to obscure their presence.”

“Shocking Sneaks, Sir Knight, you mean these Dread Pneumonia had planned to just maintain their population instead of trying to grow as fast as they could? Has Pneumonia ever shown that amount of foresight before?”

“It might not have been their plan, Squire. It could be that with the White Cells Militia in the area so often, they couldn’t get their population up. Remember that it was the Spasmites that were the first suspects in Joy’s disappearance. We may not have noticed the conditions here, had we not been chasing them.”

“Pustulant Planners, Sir Knight, do you think we interrupted the Dread Pneumonia’s plans before they’d prepared for?”

“It could be, Squire, and we may never know for certain. The Dread Pneumonia are notorious for leaving few written plans. We’ll spread these tPA seeds on these Ooze mounds and see if they come apart. If they hold together, We’ll have to call on Cyclone Surgery for assistance.”

“Last time we spread DNase seeds as well, Sir Knight. Is there a reason we’re limiting ourselves?”

“Last time, Squire, we caused an Eruption of the Blood, and threatened to sterilise the area. With the long term habitation of the Vines, the ground has been stripped of nutrients and we must be careful.”

“These bags of seed are heavy, Sir Knight. How far do you think we should spread them?”

“Yes, Squire. Even my trusty steed, Steed is struggling a bit. But we need to spread them as far as the undergrowth barrier to the Bronchi Forest.”

“What...wait...Sir Knight, the ground is shifting, as these seeds take root! Our footing is lost!”

"And Spasmites Squire, watch your back!"

Epilogue

Will our heroes survive the treacherous footing, as the Ooze mounds decay? Will the tPA seeds be enough to clear the Pleural Cavity, around the Bronchi Forest? Will the Cyclone of Surgery be required? Tune in next time on {Big Voice} Medical Monsters {End Big Voice} and find out!

Medical Monsters, Episode XV

Prologue

When we left our heroes, the Peural Cavity had started to shake violently with the addition of tPA seeds to the old, Ooze filled fibrous collections of Grabber Vine bodies. Spasmites had appeared out of the Ooze itself, and our heroes seemed to be defenceless.  Were they? Find out now on {Big Voice} Medical Monsters {End Big Voice}.

Logue

“Trembling Turf, Sir Knight. I...can barely keep...to my feet, and those...Spasmites are everywhere!”

“Don’t worry, Squire...Intervention. I have another...Blanket of...Muscle Relaxant,...and provided I don’t...fall...off...my steed, Steed,...There, there it...is.”

“Ah, thank you...Sir Knight, there....are only... a few left. Will...this...trembling stop?”

“Look behind...you, Squire. It’s a...Dread Pneumonia rising...from the Ooze mound. They...have been...below our feet...the whole...time.”

“It’s that...beeping bird...it was right...the whole...time...and...we chased it...away! It’s coming back...with it’s friends…”

“Ahh. That’s done it Squire. The Anti-Bioticus birds have returned from their amorous adventures and are attacking Dread Pneumonia.”

“The ground is calming, Sir Knight. This might really be over! Wait, what is that form, rising from the Ooze”

“Careful Squire. Stay back from it. Eww. It’s covered in Ooze and has something with it…”

“Sir Knight! It’s Joy! We’ve been walking all over her the whole time!”

“About time you lads figured it out. I’ve been listening to your nattering for two weeks, hoping you’d think to look down. And see what I found! There were a couple of Stamina Squirrels trapped in here for ages. They should help keep the Body healthier! Some of what we’d put down to wear and tear, might have just been a shortage of Squirrels.”

“Well it’s great to see you again Joy! We were worried we would need Cyclone Surgery to cleanup this mess up and get you back!”

“Well come on Joy, let’s get back to Skellyville, and feed up those Squirrels - they must be hungry."

Epilogue

That brings us to the end of {Big Voice} Medical Monsters {End Big Voice}. We hope you enjoyed it, and, as much as we’d rather they stay out of the limelight, further adventures of our heroes may occur. If so look for them at this website in the future.

(Real Dread Pneumonia were eaten by Anti-Bioticus birds during this production - not just harmed but wiped out of existence.)

Post Epilogue Prologue

When we left our heroes, they had retrieved Joy, and were looking forward to a long period of extensive boredom. The release of Stamina Squirrels boded well for the future and all seemed right with the world. Was there excitement on the horizon, best intentions aside? Find out now on the special post epilogue update of (Big Voice) Medical Monsters (End Big Voice).

Post epilogue logue

"This is the life, Sir Knight. Hanging out on the Retina, watching the world go by. Did you see that erythrocyte with the drinks? I'm getting thirsty."

"It's too bad Joy had to visit her troubled aunt this week, Squire, but even with her temporary absence, life is much better. It is much more pleasant with no crisis to address."

"Awesome Oversight, Sir Knight. We should check that all that Ooze Mounds have decayed! It's been weeks, so the Anti-Biotica Birds should have finished feeding on Dread Pneumonia!"

"Have no fear, Squire. I made a trip up to Hill CT, scanned for new developments, and returned, during your last nap. The hills have mostly leveled, and although some Scars of Scaring were left behind, It's all much more level and vine-less."

"That's great news, Sir Knight. I had forgotten all about checking up on the results of our trials and tribulations. I guess I still have much to learn before I can get Knighted."

"Squire, you have learned much, but I hope there is no reason to learn more. We'll keep in shape, and practice on minor threats around the place, but crises are things I hope remain in our past. My trusty steed, Steed, is in need of a long rest, and so am I. Here's the erythrocyte with the drinks, lets toast to a long period of boredom!" (tinkling glass sound)

Post Epilogue Epilogue

So that really is the end of (Big Voice) Medical Monsters (End Big Voice). We hope you've enjoyed it, and all of us here at Skelly Productions hope (probably in vain) that further episodes are not required.
